Thirty years. Next January will mark 30 years since Carlo Thelen joined the Chamber of Commerce, initially as an economic adviser. This shows how well he knows the institution.
His days begin with a review of national and international media. “In our role, we must constantly stay up to date with current events,” confirms the CEO of the Chamber of Commerce.
The CEO of the Chamber of Commerce remains fond of paper; numerous files and reports are carefully stored in his office. “When I read long texts, I still like to take a pen and correct them by hand.”
A multitude of memorabilia from economic missions are displayed in Carlo Thelen’s office, including a box he received in Iran, “It originally contained pistachios, but now I use it to store business cards.”
