Every day, managing director of Cocottes & Co, Clémentine Venck, follows one simple rule: the clean desk policy. At the company’s headquarters in Grass Steinfort, her office is free of distractions, a space designed to keep her focused that allows her to move efficiently from one task to the next.

A handful of awards and distinctions add a splash of color to the room. Among them: the “Prix de l’Innovation dans l’artisanat” (2024), presented by the Chambre de commerce to Cocottes for its innovative approach and entrepreneurial spirit, and the ‘Prix Santé et sécurité au travail’ (2022).

To preserve a sense of privacy in her fully glass-walled office, Venck has placed a few green plants. They’re not only a shield for privacy but also a reminder of her connection with nature, having grown up in the countryside.

But her favourite object is far more personal: a small white cup brought back from Italy, the country of her roots to which she feels deeply attached. It bears the inscription “Pota,” a word from the Lombard dialect that she often uses with her cousin.

Few workspaces could be more minimalist than hers. “That’s my obsessive side,” she jokes. Her days start at 5:30 a.m. when she settles at her desk and she goes from one meeting to the next with her teams.
