Crédit Agricole CIB believes that tokenisation will transform the financial markets. However, the French bank doubts that a proliferation of stablecoins is the most effective solution for settling transactions. It is calling for the development of euro-denominated instruments and sees the infrastructure being put in place by the ECB as a possible European solution.
