After more than 30 years with the group, Geert Perneel is appointed CEO of Altez Construction Group. Founder Johan Colpaert is refocusing on international development, with Luxembourg as a priority market.

Change in governance at Altez Construction Group. With effect from 1st January, Geert Perneel has taken over as chief executive officer of the group. He succeeds founder Johan Colpaert, who remains fully active and will now focus on the international development of the business, with a strategic emphasis on Luxembourg.

Present at Altez since 1991, Geert Perneel has accompanied all phases of the group’s growth. Until his appointment, he held the position of commercial director, with a central role in the development of industrial construction, prefabricated concrete and metal structure activities, particularly for the industrial, agricultural and equestrian sectors. His profile is in line with a logic of operational and strategic continuity.

Parallel to his functions within the Group, Geert Perneel is also managing director of Axpromo NV, an entity active in the development of real estate projects linked to the Altez ecosystem.

Luxembourg, a key market

Group founder Johan Colpaert, for his part, is refocusing on international expansion. In particular, his entrepreneurial experience and network are to support the structuring and ramp-up of activities in Luxembourg, identified as a key market by the group.

The commercial management of Altez Construction Group has been entrusted to Arne Colpaert, who has already been involved in business development and customer relations for many years.
