If they are Luxembourg’s favourite employer according to the latest study published by Randstad, the CFL is no longer at the top of the list of the country’s largest employers. According to the new Statec survey published on Wednesday 15 July, the Dussmann Luxembourg Group has become the country’s largest employer, with 5,340 employees as at 1 January 2026, ahead of the CFL Group (5,320) – which had held the top spot since 2022. Amazon completes the top three with 4,550 employees, ahead of the Post Luxembourg Group (4,480) and the Cactus Group (4,340).
The top 10 highlights the significance of major service groups, as well as that of industry, finance and transport. Behind the top five are the BNP Paribas group in Luxembourg (3,880 employees), ArcelorMittal (3,570), Goodyear Dunlop Tires Operations (3,460), PricewaterhouseCoopers (3,330) and Cargolux Airlines International (3,310).
Outside the top 10, the University of Luxembourg has crossed the 3,000-employee mark, with 3,080 staff. The Crédit Agricole Group (3,030) is just ahead of the Luxembourg Hospital Centre (3,020). Servior (2,590), Elisabeth (2,580), the Robert Schuman Hospitals Foundation (2,520), Compass Group Luxembourg (2,510), Voyages Emile Weber (2,460) and Deloitte Luxembourg (2,450) are also among the country’s 20 largest employers.
The ranking is compiled on the basis of an annual survey of companies and groups of companies employing at least 90 people in Luxembourg. Although participation is not compulsory, this year’s survey covers 387 employers from the manufacturing, construction, retail and most service sectors.
