The Easter function, which was a postponement of the Christmas 2021 party, took place on Friday 22 April, and featured a speech from the British ambassador to Luxembourg and a performance from magician David Goldrake.
At the top of the agenda was sustainability (on which topic the BCC launched a working group in February 2022) and promoting ongoing business relations between Luxembourg and the UK.
Chairman quoted Japanese Buddhist priest and poet Yoshida Kenko on the importance of slowing down, looking around and seeing where a lasting impact can be made. “The brief dayfly dies before evening; summer’s cicada knows neither spring nor autumn. What a glorious luxury it is to taste life to the full for even a single year.”
