At the age of 34, Philippe Beck, co-partner of the Oxygen & Partners agency, was not predestined to work in the public relations sector. “I studied political science, history and law in Geneva and London, and I was destined for diplomacy, whether national or international,” he explains.
And it was when he met Claude Sauber--his future partner and also already well established in the Luxembourg communications landscape as managing partner of Binsfeld--at a conference that Beck took the plunge, and together they set up Oxygen & Partners, specialising in crisis communications, in 2015.
“We’re 26 years apart and we complement each other very well. For me, it’s not a question of generation but of open-mindedness, curiosity and reliability. I have every confidence in this future generation and in the next ones too - each generation has its own ways and means of doing things.”
