They are the Luxembourg of tomorrow. They have a head full of ideas and a crazy desire to make them a reality. What do they have in common? They are under 40 and represent Luxembourg’s #Nextgen. Each day, discover the portraits of these 100 women and men who make up the new face of the country. Today, Joëlle Barthel, brand and creative director at Flo Health.

“Technology can really help women get to know their bodies better,” says Joëlle Barthel, 34, brand and creative director at Flo Health. The firm’s menstrual cycle tracking application has already been downloaded 360m times and has 60m monthly users.

The Luxembourger started at Flo Health four years ago in London, before returning to Luxembourg, where she manages the marketing team, social networks and advertising campaigns. Her mission is to lift the stigma around women’s health and educate users. With over ten years of experience in femtech, Barthel worked at Elvie and Unilever before joining the new unicorn.

Working remotely, she has integrated the values of transparency and motivation into her team. “I started alone”, she says, and today their marketing campaign is one of the most influential. Her ambition is to continue to develop Flo Health while bringing femtech opportunities back to Luxembourg.
