Paul Chiellini-Morge has been promoted to of counsel in Maples Group’s corporate practice, the firm announced on 13 March.

Maples and Calder (Luxembourg), the Maples Group’s law firm in Luxembourg, has announced the promotion of Paul Chiellini-Morge to of counsel in its corporate practice. Chiellini-Morge advises domestic and international financial institutions, public and private businesses on corporate restructurings and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, said a press release from the firm.

“I am delighted to announce Paul’s promotion to of counsel and on behalf of the partners, I congratulate him on reaching this milestone in his career,” commented Johan Terblanche, Luxembourg managing partner. “Our Luxembourg corporate practice under Baptiste [Aubry]’s leadership continues to thrive and Paul’s promotion further demonstrates the Maples Group’s commitment to investing in our people and our law firm here in Luxembourg.”

Chiellini-Morge worked at Maples and Calder from 2018 to 2020, then held the role of corporate/M&A associate at Baker McKenzie from 2020 to 2021 before returning to the Maples Group.

His promotion follows the appointment of Manfred Dietrich as a partner in the law firm’s funds & investment management team last year, as well as new hires at the associate and of counsel level, noted the communiqué. Maples and Calder offers legal advice on Luxembourg law related to corporate, finance, funds & investment management and tax matters, while the Maples Group provides fund and fiduciary services from Luxembourg. Its headquarters are in the Cayman Islands.
