Luxair has warned of possible disruption on flights to and from parts of Spain during the Easter holiday period, as ground handling strike action remains scheduled on selected days.
In a travel notice issued on 2 April 2026, the Luxembourg airline stated that the industrial action could cause delays on flights operating to and from Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca, Las Palmas in Gran Canaria, Málaga and Valencia.
Flights to Luxair’s other destinations in Spain are not expected to be affected, the airline added.
The warning applies to both Luxair and LuxairTours customers travelling on the affected routes. The airline stated that any changes would be communicated directly to passengers using the contact details provided in their booking.
Luxair advised passengers travelling through the affected Spanish airports to arrive at least three hours before departure, as longer queues and waiting times are expected.
The carrier apologised for inconvenience caused by circumstances outside its control and thanked passengers for their understanding.
