Cardif Lux Vie is continuing its upward trajectory. In 2025, the Luxembourg-based insurer reported turnover of €3.7bn, up 16% year-on-year, whilst its net profit reached €39.2m, according to its results published on Monday 13 April. Assets under management now stand at €36bn, an increase of 8%.
A comparison with 2024 highlights continued robust growth, although the pace is slowing slightly. The previous year, the company had seen a 29% surge in turnover to €3.2bn and a 10% increase in outstanding loans to €33.2bn. In 2025, the momentum continues but enters a more measured phase, with a higher base.
Wealth management services
The driving force remains the same. Wealth management accounts for the bulk of the business, with €3.6bn in gross inflows in 2025. As in 2024, the strategy is based on sales promotion and the diversification of inflows, particularly through unit-linked products, which now account for 67% of premiums. The industrialisation of private equity funds and structured products is part of this ongoing trend.
In the domestic market, however, the contrast is stark. Following 19% growth in 2024 in retail and private banking activities in Luxembourg and the Greater Region, premiums fell slightly in 2025 to €90.5m, a drop of 1%. This slowdown reflects a more hesitant market, particularly in terms of residents’ savings.
At the same time, the insurer is continuing its internal transformation. The digitisation of customer journeys, automation and the integration of new technologies remain at the heart of the strategy. The objective is clear: to improve efficiency and meet increasingly onerous regulatory and operational requirements. “This modernisation drive is a key enabler for addressing future challenges,” emphasises CEO Arnaud de Dumast, who took up his new post on 1 April.
