Two Bofferding beers and one Battin beer scored over 90 out of 100: Bofferding Pils (90), Battin Gambrinus (90) and Bofferding Alcohol-Free (91). These three products are among the brands brewed in Bascharage by the Brasserie Nationale, formed in 1974 following the merger of Funck-Bricher and Bofferding.
Organised by the specialist publisher Meininger Verlag, the competition brings together a panel of experts, sommeliers and tasters who assess the beers in a blind tasting (judging their appearance, aromas, flavour balance and technical quality).
For Maurice Treinen, production manager at Brasserie Nationale, this recognition is a tribute to the teams’ hard work: “Seeing our beers score over 90 points confirms the precision and high standards of our master brewers.”
