Meet employers face to face
Job fairs remain one of the fastest ways to build your network and discover opportunities in Luxembourg. Instead of submitting applications online, you can speak directly with recruiters, learn more about company culture and sometimes even secure an interview on the spot. The country’s best-known events include Moovijob Day Luxembourg, one of the largest recruitment fairs, bringing together hundreds of employers from sectors such as finance, IT, industry, healthcare and retail.
Prepare a concise introduction, bring several copies of your CV and connect with recruiters on LinkedIn after the event to maximise your chances.

Make yourself employable
According to a study by the Luxembourg Institute of Socio-Economic Research (Liser), based on 75 million job advertisements across four European countries, artificial intelligence is changing the skills employers seek rather than reducing hiring opportunities.
Demand is rising rapidly for skills related to AI, data and predictive analysis, particularly in sectors such as finance, ICT and business services. Yet companies are not only looking for technical experts. The study shows a growing demand for professionals who can combine digital skills with judgement, problem-solving, decision-making and leadership.
For newcomers to Luxembourg, language skills, adaptability and the ability to work in multicultural environments remain strong advantages. The key takeaway? Employers increasingly value candidates who can learn, evolve and integrate new technologies into their daily work, regardless of their profession.
Tailor every application
The extra tip? Tailor every application. Recruiters often spend less than a minute reviewing a CV. Adapt yours to each role by highlighting the skills, experience and keywords that appear in the job description. A targeted CV is far more effective than a generic one.
