The Moxy Hotel was officially inaugurated on Thursday 21 November in the presence of the minister for mobility and public works, (DP), the president for Europe, the Middle East and Africa of Marriott International, Satya Anand, the CEO of Lux-Airport, , and the CEO of Nemis, the hotel operator, Christian Buer.
The new hotel is located in the Skypark Business Park complex, designed by BIG architects, Metaform Architects and built in collaboration with Jim Clemes Associates. It is the first occupant of this vast wooden building that brings together offices, services and shops, directly linked to the airport terminal. This large-scale development, covering more than 165,000m2, is being carried out at the instigation of Lux-Airport, which intends to diversify the activity around the airport.
The Moxy Hotel has 129 rooms spread over six levels, all with views of the runways. The interior design of the hotel is vibrant, contemporary and warm, with a strong aviation theme. The hotel also has a meeting room, as well as an outdoor terrace equipped with a bowling green.
The site will be linked to the tram network in the coming months, making it much easier to access by public transport.
