They are the Luxembourg of tomorrow. They have a head full of ideas and a crazy desire to make them a reality. What do they have in common? They are under 40 and represent Luxembourg’s #Nextgen. Each day, discover the portraits of these 100 women and men who make up the new face of the country. In this instalment: Max Mersch of Fabric Ventures.

“We never stopped believing in our original theory, we were always convinced that it was going to work. But did we ever doubt that we would be able to raise funds? Yes, we did.” For Max Mersch, 30, “from the first day I started working in a venture capital fund, my aim was to create my own fund and invest in it, and here we are. The aim is to continue for at least the next ten years, we’re motivated”, explains the Luxembourger, who co-founded Fabric Ventures in 2016, with Richard Muirhead.

The venture capital fund specialises in what is known as web3, which is based on blockchain, cryptocurrency and other technologies. Fabric Ventures raised €125 million in 2022, with the next round expected in 2025.
