Aware plate
Between pleasure and constraints, Annaëlle Nahon refused to choose. A health lawyer and type 1 diabetic, she launched “Toque Santé” with a clear ambition: to show that pleasure and health can coexist on the plate. The project kicks off with an initial interview with François Jagut, chef at Les Roses restaurant. To come: exchanges with committed chefs, work with health experts and gourmet experiences designed for more conscious eating. Follow on Instagram, YouTube and Spotify.

Nippon fashion show
The Matsuri restaurant opens at Infinity Shopping at the end of February. This stylish brand, headed up by Bertrand Smets, is banking on a fun Japanese experience: sushi, makis and signature creations parade along a conveyor belt, to be grabbed as and when you feel like it. Unmissable classics and exclusive recipes intersect in an atmosphere designed to be experienced.

At Kirchberg, Azur puts the classics back at the centre of the game. A new restaurant from the Mansogroup, set up in the former L’Avenue premises, the eatery takes on generous, well-styled French cuisine. Here, it’s all about simmered dishes, reassuring recipes and plates designed for both the pro lunch and the stretching dinner.

Winter fun
When winter lasts, Wine Cheese Enjoy pulls out the gourmet artillery. The concept brings together winemakers and restaurateurs from Luxembourg’s Moselle region to match wines, crémants and cheeses designed to warm up the season. See you (among others) on February 5 at Domaine Mathis Bastian for a well-calibrated wine and cheese tasting, or on February 6 at Caves du Sud for a proper raclette.

Rising up
After the unexpected closure of Chiche in Bonnevoie, halted by serious technical problems, time has come for a new stage in the adventure. A new restaurant will open in July at the Maison des ONG. True to its DNA, the team will employ a majority of refugees there, at the very heart of its values.

Tradition

Chandeleur, inherited from Roman and then Christian festivals, celebrates light… and above all pancakes. In Luxembourg, we’re betting on the sure thing: at Crêperie Moderne for the well-gilded classics, or at GluFree Pancake for gluten-free versions that hold up.

Swedish Fika
Bröd opened at the end of January as a soft opening. Conceived by Astrid and Linnea Bohlin, the café is inspired by the Swedish fika: coffee as a moment of connection, not just consumption. The menu is short and seasonal, from breakfast to lunch, with a real focus on sourdough, well-sourced coffee and matcha. A place designed to slow down and reconnect.
