Good news for all electric vehicle drivers in Luxembourg and the Greater Region.

From 1 July 2026, Bestcharge, Luxembourg’s leading fast-charging network, is significantly reducing its DC charging rates. The price is falling from €0.69/kWh (including VAT) to €0.53/kWh (including VAT), representing a reduction of more than 20%. This decision reflects the commitment of the Luxembourg-based Petro-Center group to making fast charging accessible to all, in a rapidly evolving market.

Didier Mele, director of E-Mobility at the Petro-Center group, explains: “Since 2022, when the first charging point was installed in Remerschen, Bestcharge has invested heavily in developing the Grand Duchy’s most extensive fast-charging network. By the end of this summer, we will be celebrating our 200th fast-charging point. Today, our network has reached a level of maturity that allows us to pass on the benefits of this growth directly to our customers through our pricing.”

There are three reasons for this review: optimisation of infrastructure costs linked to network consolidation; the maturity of the network, which now makes it possible to offer more competitive tariffs whilst maintaining service quality; and the aim of attracting new drivers by making fast charging a part of everyday life.

From 1 July, the rate of €0.53/kWh (including VAT) will apply to all DC charging points starting from 50kW, regardless of whether payment is made by credit card or via a Bestcharge account. These new rates will also apply to the majority of partner sites within the network.
