Ancorius Group has acquired Initium Group in Luxembourg, adding institutional corporate services capabilities as it expands under private equity owner AnaCap.

Ancorius Group, the Luxembourg-based provider of corporate and fund services, has acquired Initium Group, a local provider of institutional corporate services, in a deal that strengthens its corporate services and speciality tax advisory operations.

The acquisition comes after Ancorius was bought by AnaCap in 2025 and rebranded from Fiduciaire Jean-Marc Faber later that year. Ancorius stated that the transaction forms part of its strategy to build a professional services platform in Luxembourg combining local expertise with greater scale, governance and investment capacity.

Johan van den Berg, group chief executive of Ancorius, described the deal as “aligned with our long-term vision”, adding that the group was bringing together teams focused on client service, expertise and long-term relationships.

Steven Gringoire, managing director at AnaCap, stated that the investor had been pursuing a growth plan based on “carefully selected M&A bolt-on opportunities” alongside organic expansion. He added that the Initium acquisition was the first such transaction to be announced by Ancorius.

Following the deal, Initium will gradually rebrand and eventually operate as part of Ancorius. The group stated that clients would continue to work with their existing teams and contacts during the transition, while gaining access over time to Ancorius’ broader resources, technology and infrastructure.

Stéphane Allart, managing partner at Initium, will join the Ancorius leadership team after the transaction. He stated that clients would see continuity of service, while employees would benefit from broader career opportunities within the enlarged group.

Headquartered in Luxembourg, Ancorius has more than 30 years of experience and serves investment funds, corporates, entrepreneurs and private wealth clients.
