In a recent judgement of 27 February 2025 (C-537/23), the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) ruled in favour of the validity, subject to conditions, of asymmetric jurisdiction clauses. This decision is particularly important given the high frequency of these clauses in international financing agreements.
