Bank of America has appointed Sjoerd van Hooijdonk as Head of Investment Banking for the Benelux. He will continue to serve as Head of Investment Banking for the Netherlands whilst extending his remit to include Belgium and Luxembourg.
In his new role, Sjoerd van Hooijdonk heads up the Investment Banking business in the region. He works alongside the product, sector and country teams to expand Bank of America’s presence across the three Benelux markets.

Several operations in the region
This appointment supports Bank of America’s international expansion under the leadership of Bernie Mensah, President of International. According to the bank, its international operations account for around 30 per cent of its business. In the Benelux region, Bank of America has advised, amongst others, JDE Peet’s on its acquisition by Keurig Dr Pepper for $23 billion, ASML on its partnership with Mistral AI, Just Eat Takeaway.com on its acquisition by Prosus, and Ageas on its acquisition of the British insurer esure.
