Since 1 January 2025, Sébastien Gandon has been the new senior client portfolio manager at Banque de Luxembourg Investments (BLI), the group announced on Friday 10 January. “As a representative of the management teams, he will play a central role in the development of BLI and in supporting its internal and external distributors,” the statement said.
Gandon will report directly to BLI’s CEO, , who is delighted with the arrival. “In Sébastien, we welcome a competent individual with a solid knowledge of the asset management business and a wide network of contacts,” she said. “We were convinced not only by his skills and previous professional experience, but also by his natural alignment with our values, our convictions in terms of active management and our entrepreneurial approach focused on the long term.”
The 42-year-old Frenchman, a graduate of Edhec business school, has 20 years of experience in asset management. Previously based in Hong Kong, he was in charge of development and sales at Harvest Global Investments, the international arm of Harvest Fund Management. He was also head of sales for Asia and Continental Europe at East Capital and worked for Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management.
“I am looking forward to this new and challenging professional assignment and the opportunity to put my skills at the service of fund distribution and help BLI and its distributors to establish a relationship of trust with investors and to develop new markets,” he said upon his appointment.
BLI is Banque de Luxembourg’s asset management company. It manages a range of more than 35 investment funds with total assets under management of €12.66bn at 31 December 2024.
