Arendt&Medernach continues to invest in its talent, having announced on Wednesday 3 June the appointment of 11 new counsels. This promotion is part of a wider wave of 51 internal promotions, which also includes 40 new senior associates.
Asset management, a long-standing pillar of the Luxembourg financial centre, accounts for more than half of all appointments to the rank of counsel. Daniel Burcheri-Haghnejad, Marcel Kaiser, David Majzoub, Milic Repa, Maria Rodriguez and Amélie Woltrager have thus been promoted to this new status within the Investment Management practice.
The corporate and M&A practices are also strengthening their position within the firm’s structure with the promotions of Anne Pelletier and Romain Scellier. Raphaëlle Carpentier has been promoted to counsel within the teams specialising in employment law, pensions and employee benefits, whilst Christophe de Batz joins the ranks of counsel in the practices covering administrative law, property, construction, the environment and litigation.
European financial and competition law is no exception. Sébastien Thomas has also been promoted to counsel, at a time when businesses and financial players are having to navigate an increasingly complex regulatory framework at European level.
