replaces outgoing chair , who served two consecutive two-year terms as chair of the Alfi board of directors.
Goy has been a member of the Alfi board of directors since June 2019 and was elected vice-chairperson of the board in 2021. Prior to joining Capital Group in 2018, Goy worked at the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF) for two decades. His mandate as chairperson will run until June 2025.
“It is an honour to have been elected as the new chairperson of Alfi. Asset managers hold an important role in assisting investors achieve their savings and financial goals while simultaneously promoting economic growth. This role will serve as the cornerstone for the development of the Alfi Ambition Paper, outlining our vision for 2025-2030, which we aim to finalise early next year,” Goy said, following his election.
Gender balanced board of directors
Alfi also elected a new board of directors, 48% of whom are women. Earlier this year, the industry group revised the structure and composition of its board. Alfi said this was done to “better reflect the diversity of its stakeholders and enhance inclusiveness.”
New female board members include Sylvie Baijot from BNP Paribas Asset Management Luxembourg, Nathalie Bausch from DWS Investment, Valeria Merkel from KPMG Audit, Kavitha Ramachandran from Apex Fund Services, Claire Gerault from Blackstone Europe Fund Management, and Sara Huda from EQT Fund Management.
Marco Bus from Eurizon Capital, Christophe Girondel from Nordea Investment Funds, Benjamin Gregson from Blackrock Luxembourg, and Revel Wood from One Group Solutions were also added to the board.
