They are the Luxembourg of tomorrow. They have a head full of ideas and a crazy desire to make them a reality. What do they have in common? They are under 40 and represent Luxembourg’s #Nextgen. Each day, discover the portraits of these 100 women and men who make up the new face of the country. Today, Alexa Ballmann, manager of the eponymous beauty salons.

Alexa Ballmann is a leading figure in Luxembourg’s craft industry. The manager of two beauty salons that bear her name, she is also vice-president of the Fédération des artisans and a member of the committee at the Chambre des métiers. “Crafts is my passion,” she says. After a ‘traditional’ education, she turned to beauty at the age of 19, following her true vocation to become self-employed at the age of 26.

Since opening her first institute in 2011, Ballmann has continued to innovate, incorporating nutrition and mental well-being into her treatments. She explains that their “aim is to solve clients’ problems, not just relax them” by working on each person’s “problem.” Aware that the world doesn’t “stop,” training for her and her team is essential.

The first woman and youngest member of the Federation’s executive board, Ballmann brings a fresh perspective at the age of 39. “We’re not yet tired of changing things,” she concludes with a smile.
