After 13 years in business, The Recruiter has introduced a new visual identity created by Wait agency, bringing together 3 areas of expertise – Executive Search, HR Advisory, and Professional Reference Checks – closer together.

A new brand identity for The Recruiter

For more than a decade, The Recruiter has been known for a distinctive approach to recruitment, shaped by precision, discretion, and genuine human connection. Its minimalist black-and-white identity reflected that positioning with elegance and restraint. But as recruitment evolved, so did the expectations of candidates and companies alike – making this the right moment to begin a new chapter.

The new brand identity, developed by Wait Agency, is built around a palette of muted shades: beige, warm earth tones and a touch of gold. These colours reflect the values that have always defined the firm: trust, stability, discretion, and long-term commitment.

This rebranding is also reflected in a bold move: the team is being showcased on the website. This is a carefully considered decision, in line with the company’s role as an ambassador for its clients’ employer brands. The result highlights an ongoing commitment to transparency and a human-centred approach, aligned with what today’s candidates are looking for.

Just like our clients, we surround ourselves with the right people.

“Surrounding yourself with the right people is no coincidence: it is a deliberate strategy.” This belief, central to the firm’s approach across all its mandates, also shaped how it chose its partner agency for this project.

From the outset, the agency sought to go beyond the brief and understand what the firm truly stands for: helping organisations navigate growth and transformation, identifying individuals who can make a decisive impact, and building teams designed to endure. While remaining closely aligned with the client’s expectations, the agency brought its own perspective, resulting in a website unlike conventional recruitment platforms, yet closely aligned with The Recruiter’s identity. That was the objective throughout.

A powerful “ why ”

“We were particularly proud to support The Recruiter in this major rebranding project,” explains Mathieu Mathelin, Director of Wait Agency. “Our DNA is rooted in the constant search for the ‘Why’ that defines the core of every brand. At The Recruiter, this ‘Why’ is powerful and clear. The result is a strong new identity that will support the firm’s growth for many years to come.

A comprehensive suite of HR services

The Recruiter’s three business divisions are designed to support organisations throughout every stage of their talent development.

Led by Nicolas Hurlin, the Executive Search division specialises in attracting and recruiting highly skilled professionals capable of making a lasting impact. Under the direction of Marilyn Colas Hurlin, HR Advisory supports organisations in structuring and developing their teams through strategic HR consulting, skills assessment, leadership training and outplacement. In addition to these services, Background Check solutions are available to companies of all sizes, helping them make safer hiring decisions through a rigorous, professional, and digitised reference-checking process.

More than ever, human resources are at the heart of organisational performance. It’s worth remembering that while a company may be managed through numbers, it is ultimately built by people.
