The Public Works Department (”Administration des ponts et chaussées”) will be carrying out a further complete closure of the A3 motorway between Croix de Gasperich and Croix de Bettembourg, from 8:00 p.m. on Friday 26 June until around 4:00 a.m. on Monday 29 June. This closure is part of the major project to widen the A3 and is expected to cause significant disruption from late Friday afternoon onwards.
The teams will use this weekend to install a second set of signage gantries, continue the redevelopment of the Livange junction, optimise the slip roads linking the A3 to the A1, and carry out several maintenance operations. These works have been scheduled outside working days to minimise their impact on commuters.

Towards Luxembourg, traffic will be halted between the Croix de Bettembourg and the Croix de Gasperich, with several slip roads from the A13 and Livange closed. Towards Metz, the motorway will also be closed between the Gluck roundabout and the Bettembourg junction, as will the access roads from the A1, the A6, Hesperange and Livange.
Motorists will need to follow diversion routes, including the A4, A6 and A13 motorways, depending on where they are coming from and where they are going. The petrol stations at the Berchem service area will also be inaccessible from 6:30 p.m. on Friday until Monday morning.
