The Public Works Department will be using the weekend of 19–22 June to resurface the A13 between the Frisange and Altwies junctions. The works will take place over three nights and two days. From 8 p.m. on Friday 19 June until around 5 a.m. on Monday 22 June, traffic will continue to flow under special arrangements. Traffic in both directions will share the same carriageway on the section concerned, with a speed limit of 70km/h.

The impact on motorists will, however, be very real. Several slip roads and exits will be closed at Frisange and Altwies, both towards Schengen and La Croix de Bettembourg. Diversion routes will run via the N3, N13 and N16 national roads, as well as via the Mondorf and Hellange junctions.
Drivers coming from the A13 will also have to contend with detours, some of which may be quite long, to reach Frisange or Altwies. The authorities have warned that the first disruptions could occur as early as late Friday afternoon, whilst the new traffic scheme is being put in place.
