A young teacher from Viet Nam recently visited Luxembourg to meet the company and people whose support helped shape her journey from childhood to adulthood.

Invited by PM-International, former sponsored child Huynh Thi Van Anh travelled to Luxembourg and the company’s headquarters in Schengen, offering a powerful example of the long-term impact that child sponsorship can have.

Her story is one of the many lives touched through PM-International’s long-standing partnership with World Vision. Today, PM-International sponsors more than 8,500 children worldwide through contributions from every FitLine product sold. Over the years, the partnership has impacted a total of 10,660 children, their families and communities.

22 year old Van Anh grew up in a poor family in Nong Son, where opportunities were limited and financial hardship was part of everyday life. Despite these challenges, she dreamed of becoming a teacher. As a sponsored child with World Vision and PM-International from 2013 to 2021, Van Anh benefited from educational support, child protection activities and community development initiatives that helped improve living conditions for her family and community.

After completing the sponsorship program, Van Anh continued her studies at the University of Education in Da Nang. Today, she has fulfilled her childhood dream: she is a qualified teacher and has returned to Nong Son to educate and inspire the next generation.

“PM-International opened the door to this life for me,” said Van Anh. “The support I received gave me opportunities that my family could never have imagined. It helped me believe that my dreams were possible and gave me the chance to make them come true.”

For PM-International, stories like Van Anh’s highlight the importance of creating sustainable pathways from childhood sponsorship to independent adulthood.

“Child sponsorship is about much more than meeting immediate needs,” said Vicki Sorg, charity ambassador at PM-International. “It is about creating opportunities, building confidence and helping young people realize their full potential. None of this would be possible without the dedication and support of our Team Partners around the world.”

In times of economic challenges, when sponsorship commitments are often reduced, PM We Care continues to be a stable partner to World Vision and is even increasing its commitment to help children around the world. This year, 500 more children will be supported, bringing the total to 8,500 sponsored children worldwide.
