The departure of a CEO, the stalling of a transformation or the imminence of a succession, so many critical transition periods for a company or organisation. To help them, Nicolas Henckes, who turned 51 just a few days ago, is taking the entrepreneurial route again and on Tuesday 6 January announced the launch of Kitsune Advisory, to act as interim CEO for companies in the country.

"These moments require much more than just advice, they require operational leadership", he explains on his Linkedin account. His aim is to "take over to guarantee operational continuity in the event of a vacancy, steer complex turnarounds with an outside, objective eye, or support the transformation during the search for a permanent successor."

A tribute to Japan and to Michel Rodange

The name of the company, Kitsune, which means "fox" in Japanese, symbolises both "the agility and strategic vision needed to get through these transitions", and also the cunning fox Renert, a figure from the book by Luxembourg author Michel Rodange. Michel Rodange, who also gave his name to a secondary school in Luxembourg City, where Nicolas Henckes sat his final exam at secondary school.

A graduate of both the Université Paris-Sud with a master's degree in law and HEC Paris, Nicolas Henckes has held various positions since the start of his career. He was a member of the Paris Bar, personal assistant to the President of the Luxembourg Central Bank, and in 2006 set up Legitech, which he developed and ran until September 2013, before becoming General Secretary of UEL and then Director of CLC. He has been head of Hospilux since January 2022.

Nicolas Henckes is and has been a member of numerous boards of directors, including that of the INDR, (where he was also director from 2013 to 2018), the Cluster for Logistics Luxembourg and EuroCommerce. Since January 2025, he has also been an independent director of Liser.
