The Luxembourg Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (LPEA) has confirmed the composition of its executive committee for 2026, following the meeting of its board of directors on 1 July. The main change concerns the vice-presidency: Gautier Laurent, a representative of Cinven, has taken over as head of the organisation, succeeding
Hans-Jürgen Schmitz, of Mangrove Capital Partners, co-founder of the LPEA. He remains, however, a member of the executive committee following his re-election.
Hind El Gaidi, of Intermediate Capital Group (ICG), remains president of the association. The second vice-president position is still held by EY Luxembourg, represented by Laurent Capolaghi. The executive committee also has a new member,
Valérie Tixier, of PwC, elected to replace
Giuliano Bidoli, BC Partners.
Two further terms of office were renewed: those of Martine Kerschenmeyer, from Advent International, and Claude de Raismes, from Wendel. The LPEA’s executive committee comprises 12 members. It includes the president, two vice-presidents, a secretary, a treasurer, the association’s CEO and other members elected by the board of directors.
Hind El Gaidi welcomed the appointment of Gautier Laurent, whom she described as “an active and committed member of the LPEA for many years”. She also welcomed Valérie Tixier and congratulated Martine Kerschenmeyer and Claude de Raismes on the renewal of their terms of office. “Together, we will continue to drive forward the LPEA’s strategic priorities and support the ongoing growth of Luxembourg’s private markets ecosystem,” she said.
Stéphane Pesch, CEO of the LPEA, in turn thanked Hans-Jürgen Schmitz for his ongoing commitment to the Executive Committee. He also praised Giuliano Bidoli’s contribution, particularly his role as co-head of the association’s Tax Committee and his active involvement in the Public Affairs Group.
The LPEA, which represents private equity and venture capital professionals in Luxembourg, reports that it had 706 members as at 2 July 2026. Its executive committee is responsible for supporting the definition and implementation of the association’s strategic priorities, alongside its CEO.
