Law firm Mourant has expanded its Luxembourg investment funds practice with the appointment of Lara Forte as a partner. She joined from Arendt & Medernach, where she spent nine years advising on the formation and regulatory aspects of private equity, credit and real estate funds.
Announced on Thursday 27 February 2025, the firm stated that Forte’s expertise in investment management would enhance its ability to provide legal services in a complex regulatory environment. Ben Robins, global head of Mourant’s funds practice, noted that her experience in private capital and alternative investment funds aligned with the firm's strategic objectives and would strengthen its Luxembourg presence. Aldric Grosjean, managing partner of the Luxembourg office, said that her technical skills and client service approach would contribute to the firm’s growth in the region.
Forte expressed enthusiasm about joining the firm and collaborating with colleagues to support clients with Luxembourg investment management needs. Her appointment follows the arrival of corporate partner Jan Dobrzensky , which Mourant stated reflected its ongoing efforts to expand its expertise and capabilities in key practice areas.
