Mourant Governance Services received the licence for fund administration from the CSSF, the Luxembourg financial sector regulator.

Mourant Governance Services, an affiliate of leading law firm Mourant Ozannes, announced on 21 October 2024 that it had obtained a Professional of the Financial Sector (PFS) license from the Luxembourg Financial Sector Supervisory Commission (CSSF). The PFS licence enables Mourant Governance Services to deliver fund administration and accounting services to both firm’s existing and future clients.

Mourant Governance Services is a professional services firm providing corporate, accounting, governance and fiduciary services in Luxembourg, Hong Kong, Guernsey, Jersey, Singapore, the Cayman Islands, Mauritius and the UK.

The new licence cements the group expansion in Luxembourg, enhancing its position in the financial services sector, said Mourant in their press release.

Nicolas Poncelet, Managing Director of Mourant Governance Services Luxembourg, stated, “To begin with, I want to express my gratitude to the teams for their hard work in achieving this milestone. Our new offering in Luxembourg leverages our team's extensive expertise in corporate, management, accounting, governance, and fiduciary services for a range of non-regulated entities, including management companies, special purpose vehicles, and holding companies. This development will support Mourant’s ongoing expansion.”

Ed Fletcher, Global Managing Director of Mourant Governance Services stated, “Luxembourg is a crucial strategic hub in Europe for organizing and managing global investments. By obtaining this new licence, we are now positioned to offer an even broader spectrum of solutions and services. This expansion will greatly enhance our ability to meet the diverse needs of our clients and intermediaries, providing them with more comprehensive support for their investment funds.”

Yeliz Bozkir, Director legal & compliance of Mourant Governance Services Luxembourg, confirmed, “We are incredibly proud to have secured the CSSF license, a milestone that reflects not only the strategic importance of Luxembourg in the global financial landscape but also the dedication and hard work of our entire team. Achieving this regulatory approval required immense collaboration and a thorough understanding of the complex compliance and governance requirements. Our team’s commitment to excellence has been instrumental in ensuring we meet the rigorous standards set by the CSSF. This license now allows us to expand our service offering, providing comprehensive fund administration, corporate, and domiciliation services to our clients, reinforcing our position as a trusted partner in Luxembourg's financial sector.”

Johan Montfort, Director fund administration in Luxembourg, commented, “This new license allows us to significantly broaden our service offering to both regulated and non-regulated Luxembourg funds, providing key services such as NAV calculation, regulatory reporting, and investor servicing. These enhanced capabilities enable us to not only meet but exceed the evolving needs of our clients by offering precise and efficient fund administration solutions. Coupled with the deep expertise and unwavering commitment of our team, we are now even better positioned to deliver comprehensive and customized services. This development strengthens our ability to support both existing and future clients, fostering long-term partnerships and ensuring that their operational and regulatory requirements are met with excellence.”
