"We are proud to relaunch Be Human and continue our vital mission of promoting social justice and equality, under the leadership of our new chair, public affairs specialist Lara Dieudonné, and our managing director, legal scholar Nadia Kendall," says Be Human founder Jana Degrott in a statement. "Our mission is to equip young people with essential skills, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to realise their full potential."
Launched in 2015 by the social entrepreneur in response to the challenges of Europe's migration crisis, the association has since grown into a comprehensive support ecosystem. Be Human will provide practical tools and knowledge through courses, training and masterclasses promoting gender equality, inclusion of people with disabilities and striving to break down barriers to create a truly accessible Luxembourg society.
Be Human ASBL focuses on a range of initiatives, including:
- raising awareness of the challenges faced by women, gender minorities and people with disabilities in Luxembourg and advocating for policy changes that promote inclusion and equality.
- Providing direct support services to women, gender minorities and people with hidden disabilities, such as mentoring programmes, professional training and access to resources.
- collaborate with other organisations, government agencies and community leaders to create a more inclusive and equitable society for all.
