Stephanie Legrand was appointed CRO for Luxembourg as Thomas de Montmartin is headed for HSBC Oman.  HSBC

HSBC has appointed Stephanie Legrand as chief risk officer for Luxembourg to replace Thomas de Montmarin who is headed for Oman, the company announced on 20 January.

Legrand has been active as a senior risk manager with HSBC in Luxembourg since 2018, taking on the role of deputy chief risk officer last year. With a master in business engineering and 16 years of risk management experience in the retail and private banking sectors, Legrand initially began as a credit risk modeller for a Belgian retail bank, where she was employed for two years.

“We are very happy to promote Stephanie as our new chief risk officer, demonstrating our ability to attract and develop talent locally. Stephanie will continue to provide strong support to our four lines of business to help us pursue our ambitious growth plans in a safe and controlled manner,” Luxembourg in an official statement.

The company, which deals in security services, asset management, corporate banking and private banking, only last year , Krystina Gray, who is the vice-president of Women Cyber Force and the Women4Cyber.
