Tyre manufacturer Goodyear on 11 February announced in a press release the appointment of David Anckaert as head of product strategy and planning.
Reporting to CEO and president Mark Stewart, Anckaert will be responsible for “leading Goodyear’s product roadmap and lifecycle planning, using data-driven market insights to identify opportunities, drive innovation and develop a winning global product portfolio,” the company said.
Anckaert, who joined Goodyear in 2000, is no stranger to the company. He held a number of positions in R&D, sales and marketing before rising through the ranks. In 2018, he was appointed vice president, commercial Europe, before taking over as head of consumer replacement Europe. Most recently, he was head of consumer Europe, Middle East and Africa.
“David is an ideal candidate to lead the development of Goodyear’s global portfolio of products, services and solutions to maximise our end-to-end customer value proposition,” said Stewart. “I am confident that David’s leadership and our talented product teams around the world will enable a globally connected approach that will bring vitality to the market and fill gaps with Goodyear’s industry-leading products.”
Goodyear is one of the world’s largest tyre manufacturers. The company employs around 68,000 people and operates 53 factories in 20 countries around the world. The company also has two innovation centres: in Akron, Ohio and in Colmar-Berg, Luxembourg.
