As part of the event, organised by the Paperjam Club on Thursday 19 September, Rolf Sorg, founder & CEO of PM-International, shares his journey and his point of view.

How did you come up with the idea to move to Luxembourg, and/or what made you decide to settle here?

Rolf Sorg: I was born in Germany and grew up in a family of entrepreneurs. There, I also founded my own company. I soon realised that for our global strategy, we need an international team. I live in Luxembourg already since 1998, and also have taken on citizenship.

In 2015 we made the strategic decision to open our International Headquarters in Schengen. It was a clear commitment to our international positioning.

What aspects of Luxembourg attracted you the most?

For me, Luxembourg was and always will be the perfect international hub in the center of Europe, and the world. 650,000 people from more than 170 countries, or in our international headquarters, more than 140 employees of 35 nationalities--people from all over the world come here and create great opportunities together.

Also, Luxembourg is highly socially and politically stable, a safe place to live with a low crime rate, modern infrastructure, a great healthcare and childcare system, as well as offers a high living standard and education opportunities.

What do you think about the professional or entrepreneurial opportunities available in Luxembourg?

Moving to Luxembourg really made the difference for me, both for my family and my business plans. I appreciate the entrepreneur friendly environment here, and I am glad to be able to create jobs in Luxembourg and give something back.
