The Hôtel Le Place d'Armes has announced the arrival of chef Dominik Ambros to head the kitchens of its three restaurants: La Cristallerie, Le Plëss and Café de Paris.

German-born chef Dominik Ambros has been chosen to head up the kitchens at Hôtel Le Place d'Armes. The hotel has a gourmet restaurant, La Cristallerie, an upmarket brasserie, Le Plëss, and a bistro, Café de Paris.

Ambros has made a career of working for renowned establishments such as The French Laundry (3 Michelin stars) in California, the Palace Hotel in Berlin, the kitchens of La Mamounia in Marrakech, Adlon Kempinski Hotel in Germany and Sofitel Angkor in Cambodia. His work at the Lux* Grand Gaube in Mauritius has made the hotel one of the leading gastronomic benchmarks in the Indian Ocean, with distinctions at the World Travel Awards.

Now based in Luxembourg, he will be developing creative dishes combining ambitious flavours with local, seasonal produce, while offering an innovative approach to cuisine.
