DLA Piper has promoted Mélody Brunot to partner in its Luxembourg corporate practice, effective 1 May 2025, as part of a global round of 65 new partner appointments. With this promotion, Brunot becomes the ninth partner in the Luxembourg office.
Brunot joined DLA Piper in Luxembourg as counsel in 2022, bringing experience in advising both local and international clients on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and corporate reorganisations. She is also recognised for her expertise in corporate governance, particularly in helping clients navigate evolving governance expectations. Her work focuses on emerging industries, including technology and space, and she has developed a strong reputation for advising scale-up companies and investors on international expansion and complex corporate matters.
Announced on 24 April 2025, Brunot’s promotion marks the first time the Luxembourg office will have a partner solely dedicated to corporate M&A, the firm stated. In this role, Brunot will focus on developing the firm’s corporate M&A practice in Luxembourg, with particular attention to the financial services sector, joint ventures, private equity and venture capital investments, and cross-border reorganisations.
Brunot was recognised as a “leading associate” by Legal500 in 2025 for her expertise in corporate law and her business acumen.
