DLA Piper has named Michal Stepien as principal in its new transfer pricing practice in Luxembourg, marking a strategic enhancement of its tax services.

Global law firm DLA Piper announced the appointment of Michal Stepien as principal and head of the newly established transfer pricing practice in Luxembourg, effective from Monday 3 June. Formerly with Deloitte Luxembourg, Stepien is a seasoned tax practitioner with nearly 20 years of international experience, focusing on all aspects of transfer pricing. His expertise will be instrumental in broadening the firm’s service offerings and strategically positioning the Luxembourg office as a key player in transfer pricing, said DLA Piper in a press statement on Tuesday 4 June.

Stepien’s experience encompasses strategic and operational aspects of transfer pricing, as well as financial transactions, audit and litigation. His background includes both in-house roles and leadership positions, providing him with deep market insights. Stepien assists multinational organisations and asset managers with transfer pricing, covering planning, design, implementation and defence. His skills also include traditional and alternative strategies, such as private debt, private equity and real estate, noted DLA Piper.
