More than a simple savings or transfer tool, life insurance has gradually become a real wealth-structuring instrument. For investors with significant assets, internal dedicated funds are among the mechanisms offering the highest degree of financial personalisation. These investment vehicles enable the manager to implement an allocation based on the client’s wealth situation, financial objectives, risk appetite, and investment horizon.
One of the characteristics of these internal dedicated funds is the latitude given to select stakeholders. Thanks to its open architecture, OneLife provides access to more than 250 asset managers, enabling insurance intermediaries and their clients to select the most appropriate expertise. This freedom of choice also concerns banking partners. With more than 70 referenced custodian banks, investors have a wide range of institutions and can, where this is part of their overall strategy, make use of financing mechanisms such as the Lombard loan.
Available at OneLife from 250,000 euros of investment, life insurance policies in internal dedicated funds combine tailor-made allocation, diversification and wealth support.
These investment vehicles were showcased at the first Dedicated Fund Day organised by OneLife for Belgian insurance intermediaries interested in dedicated management. On this occasion, 16 asset managers and 4 custodian banks met to discuss market developments, the possibilities offered by individual management, and the issues related to wealth financing.
In addition to exchanges between professionals, this meeting highlighted the variety of stakeholders mobilised around internal dedicated funds. It also recalled the role that Luxembourg life insurance can play in supporting complex wealth situations by reconciling personalisation, flexibility, and asset protection within a recognised regulatory framework.
