At an operational level, a number of appointments have been made to strengthen Bionext’s governance structure:
• Dr Thibault Ferrandon has been appointed CEO (chief executive officer) and will take over as head of the laboratory after eight years in the laboratory’s medical department;
• Dr Emilie Weibel has been appointed chief medical officer (CMO), having worked as a medical biologist in the laboratory since 2020.
Thibault and Emilie have grown up alongside the company, sharing its challenges, driving its projects and playing a direct part in its development.
“The appointment of Thibault as CEO and Emilie as CMO were obvious choices, based on trust, competence and alignment with our values. This forward-looking transition represents a step forward within our existing framework. It demonstrates that our company does not depend on a single individual, but on a strong, competent team committed to our public health mission in the service of patients and healthcare professionals,” said Dr Jean-Luc Dourson.
