Luxembourg’s national rail operator has warned of delays and cancellations on three cross-border routes as a strike in Belgium is set to affect rail services from late Sunday until late Friday.

The Luxembourg National Railway Company (CFL) has warned that three cross-border lines could be disrupted next week because of a planned strike in Belgium, with knock-on effects expected for Luxembourg services connecting into the Belgian network.

In a notice published on its website, CFL said “delays and cancellations are to be expected” from 25 January 2026 at 22:00 until 30 January 2026 at 22:00 due to the industrial action across the border.

CFL said disruption may occur on services between Luxembourg and Gouvy via Ettelbruck and Troisvierges, between Luxembourg and Arlon via Kleinbettingen, and between Luxembourg and Athus via Bascharage-Sanem and Rodange.

CFL urged passengers travelling on these routes to consult its timetable search before departing, as services could be cancelled or run late during the strike period depending on Belgian rail operations.
