There’s been a change in governance at Lëtzblock: Ami Nagata succeeds Biba Homsy as president of the association. Homsy, who founded Lëtzblock, remains involved on the board to support the transition and structuring of the digital assets sector in Luxembourg.

Lëtzblock, a professional association dedicated to digital assets and Web3, has announced the appointment of Ami Nagata, , as its president.

Nagata, who was in February, joins the association’s board of directors and succeeds founder and long-time president Biba Homsy. Homsy remains an active member of the board and will continue to support the development of the organisation, the association said in a press release. “I have personally always identified Ami as the ideal person to lead the association forward, and I could not be more delighted she has accepted this important role,” added Homsy.

Prior to taking the helm at Zodia Custody, Nagata held a number of high-profile positions. In particular, she worked at Bitflyer Europe, where she was a member of the board of directors, authorised manager and CEO. Prior to that, she was vice president at MUFG Investor Services, international development executive at Carmignac and customer relationship manager at Mitsubishi UFJ Global Custody. Nagata has also worked in Tokyo (as vice president/head of strategic marketing at Goldman Sachs Asset Management) and in London (as head of strategic marketing at BNP Paribas).

“I’m excited to be able to further contribute to the digital asset ecosystem in Luxembourg,” said Nagata. “Lëtzblock plays a critical role in uniting the industry, and I’m honoured to help lead its next phase of growth alongside Biba and the rest of the board.”

Founded in 2018, Lëtzblock is a non-profit association that aims to promote the Luxembourg blockchain ecosystem. It brings together professionals in the Web3 sector, digital assets and distributed ledger technologies (DLT), promoting a dynamic and structured local ecosystem.
