The marathon attracted around 12,000 runners.  Nader Ghavami

After being postponed due to the sanitary crisis, the ING Night Marathon was back on 28 May for a much-awaited comeback.

Around 12,000 participants had registered for the event on Saturday evening. As in the past, the ING Night Marathon attracted runners from all over the world--the organisers counted 42 nationalities--though there were fewer runners than in the past.

In the men’s marathon, Kenyan Ezekiel Kiprop Koech placed first.
