As part of the master’s degree in wealth management at the University of Luxembourg, Julien Pénasse invites his students to question the theoretical foundations of an investment portfolio. He points out that, depending on risk tolerance and investment horizon, most investors should hold very similar diversified portfolios. More than the investment strategies implemented, it is in understanding their clients’ expectations, convictions and constraints that asset managers should seek to distinguish themselves.
