To mark Europe Day, celebrated every 9 May in commemoration of the 1950 Schuman Declaration, the Concert Europa took place on Friday at the Philharmonie Luxembourg, in collaboration with Atoz.

The evening brought together nearly 400 guests for a musical programme featuring two major works from the classical repertoire: Antonín Dvořák’s “From the New World” and Anton Bruckner’s “Te Deum".

The event also highlighted Luxembourg’s historic role as one of the founding members of the European Union and the country’s commitment to the European project.

Several ensembles took to the stage for the concert, including the European Academic Orchestra, the Grand Ducal Military Band, the Luxembourg Chamber Choir and the Luxembourg Chamber Choir’s Academy for Young Voices, conducted by Antonio Grosu.
