"Capitani,” the Luxembourg series that was a hit on Netflix at the beginning of the year, will also see its second season broadcast on the streaming platform. This will likely follow its initial broadcast on RTL in early 2022.

As expected, following the success of the first season earlier this year, Netflix has committed to streaming season 2 of the Luxembourg-language detective series "Capitani". The deal was announced on Tuesday evening by Samsa Film, the company behind the Luxembourg production.

As a reminder, after having accumulated more than one million viewers during its broadcast on RTL, season 1 of "Capitani" was ranked, last February, (Spain, Argentina, Greece, Uruguay and... Luxembourg), but also in the top 10 in 49 countries.

The second season, conceived by Thierry Faber and directed by Christophe Wagner, is currently in post-production. It was filmed mainly in the capital city between March and June of this year and once again stars the Luxembourg actor Luc Schiltz as Luc Capitani. It is scheduled to air on RTL from 22 February 2022 on. So its  broadcast on Netflix should follow soon after.
