After two months in an interim role, Erik van de Weele has been officially appointed head of sales for Belgium and Luxembourg at Robeco. The Dutch asset manager is focusing on continuity to support its growth in the region.

On Tuesday 2 June, Robeco officially announced the appointment of Erik van de Weele as head of sales for Belgium and Luxembourg. He had been acting in this role since April 2026, following the appointment of Frank Groven as head of global financial institutions.

In this role, Erik van de Weele will oversee relations with institutional clients and fund distributors in Belgium and Luxembourg. The aim is to continue the Dutch asset manager’s business development in both markets, according to the press release.

He joined Robeco in May 2024 as sales manager for Belgium and Luxembourg, bringing over 20 years’ experience in asset management in the Benelux region. He has previously held sales roles at Allianz Global Investors and Janus Henderson Investors. “This year, we have seen strong growth in Belgium and Luxembourg, and I am confident that we are well positioned to build on this momentum,” says Steven de Vries, head of wholesale Europe at the asset manager.
