In a fast-growing public cloud market, with global end-user spending expected to reach $679bn in 2024 and more than $1trn in 2027, NTT Data wants to strengthen its leadership position and aims to establish itself in Google Cloud services and strengthen its capabilities in cloud and AI. To this end, it has signed an agreement with Niveus Solutions for an acquisition that fits perfectly with this strategy.
More generally, the aim is for NTT Data to extend its cloud capabilities “to meet global demand for transformative cloud solutions across all sectors and consolidate the company as a leading global systems integrator for Google Cloud,” the company explains in its press release. This will provide the firm with new capabilities to deliver industry-specific and specialised cloud platform solutions, which will also enable it to develop customised use cases.
“The acquisition of Niveus Solutions will firmly position us as a major player in Google Cloud, propelling NTT Data as one of the world’s leading systems integrator partners for Google Cloud. Together with Niveus Solutions, we are poised to redefine possibilities in the AI-driven cloud era, enabling customers to accelerate digital transformations and achieve meaningful business results across industries and geographies,” said NTT Data’s head of cloud and security services, Charlie Li.
Recently, NTT Data extended its partnership with Google Cloud to co-innovate in the field of data analysis and generative AI solutions for enterprise customers. This will provide solutions that are increasingly tailored to the needs of each sector. Niveus Solutions will add 1,000 GCP engineering professionals to NTT Data’s workforce once the transaction closes, expected in the next 30 to 60 days.
In addition to its engineering professionals, NTT Data will also benefit from Niveus Solutions’ reputation, as the company has received several awards such as “Innovative Partner of the Year 2024 for Asia Pacific” and “Indian Partner of the Year” from Google Cloud.
“Niveus Solutions is delighted to partner with NTT Data. Our team's commitment to advancing digital transformation on Google Cloud, combined with NTT Data’s extensive reach and capabilities, positions us strongly to bring modern cloud solutions to new markets to push the boundaries of cloud innovation. Today’s announcement accelerates our mission to tap into our global GCP talent pool, leveraging India’s thriving ecosystem of skilled professionals and enhancing our ability to deliver transformative services globally,” said Niveus Solutions CEO and co-founder Suyog Shetty.
