This month dining out in Dudelange can help children in developing countries. Nine restaurants in the southern city have signed on for the “Resto solidaire” (out for a meal together) initiative, organised by the charity Diddeleng Hëlleft with Dudelange town hall.
The restaurants will ask patrons to donate an extra €1 on top of their bill, which will go to the education and training projects supported by Diddeleng Hëlleft. As of this writing, in 2015 it had donated €53,800 to several programmes in Africa, Latin America and south Asia, according to the NGO’s website.
Resto solidaire started Saturday and runs through 31 December. The nine Deudelange restaurants are:
